The SN74HC48N is a high-speed CMOS 7-segment decoder/driver integrated circuit. It converts binary coded decimal information into decimal form and provides the necessary drive to display this information on a 7-segment display. The SN74HC48N is capable of converting four bits of binary-coded decimal information into the appropriate drive signals for the segments of a 7-segment display. The output drivers of the SN74HC48N have high sink current capability and can drive LED displays directly.
