14500 batteries and AA batteries may look alike in size, but they have entirely different chemistries. The 14500 battery, which is rechargeable, operates at a voltage of 3.7V, whereas the AA battery operates at 1.5V. Despite their similar size, using a 14500 battery in place of an AA battery could potentially damage your device due to the higher voltage.

Note: This is a clone battery, and while the outer shell may be labeled as a Ni-Cd battery, it actually contains a Li-ion cell. This is often done because the size of an AA Ni-Cd battery and a 14500 Li-ion battery is very similar, so manufacturers may reuse Ni-Cd shells for convenience or cost-saving purposes. Please be aware that: Ni-Cd batteries typically have a nominal voltage of 1.2V. Li-ion batteries, on the other hand, have a nominal voltage of 3.7V.
Important: After fully charging the battery, check its voltage using a multimeter. If the voltage reads around 4.2V when fully charged, it is a Li-ion cell, not Ni-Cd.
