The CP2112 Debug Board USB to I2C Communication Module is a highly integrated USB-to-SMBus bridge controller designed by Silicon Labs. Featuring a full-speed USB 2.0 interface (12Mbps), this module enables easy communication between USB and I2C devices without requiring complex firmware or custom drivers, as it uses the standard USB HID device class natively supported by most operating systems. It includes an integrated 3.45V voltage regulator, power-on reset circuit, and a 194-byte one-time programmable ROM for storing user-defined information. The CP2112 offers a 512-byte SMBus buffer and configurable parameters such as clock speed, timeouts, and device addressing. Additionally, it provides eight configurable GPIO pins with alternate functions like clock output (48MHz–94kHz) and LED activity indicators for SMBus read/write operations.
