When you purchase TowerPro motors in India, they are almost usually NOT ORIGINAL, and these are no exception…. These are NOT ORIGINAL Tower Pro Servos, either. However, they are dead cheap and Serve the purpose. We put them to the test and found them to be of good quality for the price.
Wire Description
- RED – Positive

Continuous rotation servos are like regular hobby RC servos but modified to offer speed control instead of position control. They're essentially compact, affordable motors with integrated motor drivers. Add a wheel, and you've got a simple drive system for your robot, controllable with an RC signal or directly connected to a single microcontroller I/O line. - As the name implies, a "continuous rotation" servo cannot be controlled in terms of degree; it will rotate continuously either in the forward or reverse direction. However, you can control its speed. The code for operating a continuous rotation servo differs from that of a regular servo.
- To achieve continuous rotation to the left, use the command myServo.write(0). For rotation to the right, employ myServo.write(180). To halt the servo's movement, you'll need to find the exact value. You can try different values around the middle, such as myServo.write(90) or myServo.write(95), to determine the stopping point.

This servo motor requires a higher current and cannot be powered directly from the Arduino Uno or Mega. You will need to provide an additional 5V, 3A power supply in conjunction with the Arduino.
Please do not manually rotate the motor or gear shaft by hand, as this could cause permanent damage to the motor. |
