The GP2Y0A51SK0F Infrared Distance Sensor is a compact and reliable short-range distance measurement module designed for robotics and automation applications. It integrates a position sensitive detector (PSD), an infrared LED, and onboard signal processing circuitry into a single unit. Because it uses the triangulation method, the sensor provides stable and consistent distance measurements with minimal influence from target color, reflectivity, or ambient temperature. Moreover, it outputs an analog voltage proportional to the detected distance, which allows easy interfacing with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, STM32, and other ADC-supported platforms.
