    Product Description

    The FT232RL USB to TTL Serial Port Module is a reliable and versatile USB-to-serial converter based on the original FT232RL chip. It provides high-speed, stable communication between your PC and microcontrollers, development boards, or embedded systems. With support for three selectable logic levels (5V, 3.3V, 1.8V), this module can adapt to a wide variety of devices without additional level shifters.

    Its compact design includes status LEDs for power, transmit, and receive, as well as a built-in 500mA resettable fuse and diode protection, making it safe for both beginners and professionals. With speeds up to 3Mbps, the FT232RL module is ideal for Arduino, STM32, ESP8266/ESP32, and other serial communication projects.

    Pin Description

    • VCC / GND – Power and ground (GND must always be connected; VCC optional)

    • TX / RX – Serial communication pins (connect TX → RX, RX → TX on external device)

    • CTS / RTS / DSR / RI / DCD – Hardware flow control pins (available via header)

    • Voltage Select (5V / 3.3V / 1.8V) – Switchable via jumper cap

    • TX/RX Test Jumper – Shorted by default for testing; remove when in use
