The MCP4728 is a versatile quad-channel 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with built-in EEPROM, allowing all four output voltages to be saved and automatically restored on power-up. This makes it ideal for applications where stable, predefined analog voltages are required immediately after startup.
Each of the four DAC channels can be independently controlled over the I2C interface, and the device supports both external supply reference (VDD) and an internal 2.048V reference with selectable gain. This flexibility allows output ranges suitable for both 3.3V and 5V systems.
The module integrates all required support components and includes a STEMMA QT / Qwiic compatible JST-SH connector, enabling plug-and-play, solder-free connection to Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, STM32, and other I2C-capable controllers.
