To upgrade the programmer using STM32CubeProgrammer you need to enable the "Shared" options. This product is a clone and might not support STM32Cube.
The ST-LINK V2 CN Emulator and Programmer for STM32/STM8 Local Chip is a cost-effective debugging and programming tool widely used in embedded development. It supports both STM8 and STM32 microcontrollers through SWIM and SWD/JTAG interfaces, making it suitable for a wide range of projects. Powered via USB 2.0 with a standard mini-B cable, this programmer is easy to set up and use with popular IDEs like Keil, IAR, Atollic, and ST’s own tools. It features firmware upgrade capability, 5V-tolerant inputs, and a status LED for clear communication indication. While this is a clone version and may not fully support STM32Cube updates, it offers an affordable solution for developers, hobbyists, and students working with STM microcontrollers. This is ST-LINK/V2 in-circuit debugger/programmer for STM8 and STM32.
ST-LINK/V2 is an in-circuit debugger and programmer for the STM8 and STM32 microcontroller families. The single wire interface module (SWIM) and JTAG/serial wire debugging (SWD) interfaces are used to communicate with any STM8 or STM32 microcontroller located on an application board.
STM8 applications use the USB full speed interface to communicate with ST Visual Develop (STVD) or ST Visual Program (STVP) software. STM32 applications use the USB full speed interface to communicate with Atollic, IAR, Keil or TASKING integrated development environments.
In addition, to provide the same functionalities as the ST-LINK/V2, the ST-LINK/V2-ISOL features digital isolation between the PC and the target application board. It also withstands voltages of up to 1000 Vrms.
To upgrade the programmer using STM32CubeProgrammer you need to enable the "Shared" options.
