Description

The SteerEase Line Following Robot is a versatile and user-friendly robotic platform designed for enthusiasts, hobbyists, and educators. With its plug-and-play functionality and intuitive controls, users can quickly dive into the world of robotics without worrying about intricate electrical connections or motor calibrations.


This is the Android app to control the robot




To get started, grant the app permission to use Bluetooth.

  1. Click on "Connect with Robot" and search for HC-06 Bluetooth. Use the passcode 0000 or 1234 when prompted.
  2. Once connected, you can use the Navigation Buttons to control the robot's movements: Forward, Right, Left, and Backward.
  3. If you want the robot to follow a basic line, ensure the line is black on a white surface, with a .75 inch black line on a completely white surface. Then, press the "Line Follow" button.
  4. For autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance, simply press the "Autonomous Navigation" button. We've pre-installed a simple code for this functionality.
  5. If you're feeling adventurous, you can write your own code for the robot. However, please note that we won't be providing our code with the robot. It comes pre-installed.

Utilize the built-in HC-06 Bluetooth module to wirelessly control the robot via a custom-designed Android application. The app features a joystick for directional control and buttons for mode switching, enabling seamless interaction with the robot. Activate the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor to enable obstacle avoidance mode, allowing the robot to autonomously navigate its surroundings and avoid collisions. Toggle the line following mode with the touch of a button on the Android app. The robot is equipped with an 8-array line following sensor, enabling it to autonomously follow predefined paths. Powered by three 18650 batteries, providing a stable operating voltage of 11.1V. The robot can run for up to 3 hours on a full charge, ensuring extended periods of operation without interruption. Equipped with a 2WD wheel configuration and Yellow TT motors capable of reaching speeds of up to 300 RPM at 7.2V. The L298N motor driver ensures efficient and precise motor control. With dimensions of 20 x 15 x 12 cm and a weight of 0.508 kg, the SteerEase Line Following Robot is compact and portable, making it ideal for various indoor robotic applications. Featured By RoboticsBD.
