- Connect the sensor to the counter meter. The sensor has three wires: brown (power), black (ground), and blue (signal). The brown wire should be connected to the power input on the counter meter, the black wire should be connected to the ground input on the counter meter, and the blue wire should be connected to the signal input on the counter meter.
- Adjust the detect distance. The detect distance is the distance at which the sensor will detect an object. To adjust the detect distance, use the VR potentiometer on the sensor. Turn the potentiometer clockwise to increase the detect distance and counterclockwise to decrease the detect distance.
- Power on the counter meter. The counter meter will start counting when it is powered on.
- Place an object in front of the sensor. When an object is placed in front of the sensor, the counter meter will start counting. The number on the counter meter will increase as the object gets closer to the sensor.
- Remove the object from the sensor. When the object is removed from the sensor, the counter meter will stop counting.
