The Adafruit ST25DV16K I2C RFID EEPROM Breakout is a unique NFC solution that combines traditional RFID functionality with the flexibility of I2C reprogramming. Acting as an ISO/IEC 15693 NFC Forum Type 5 tag, it can be read by most mobile phones and tablets while also offering direct reprogrammability from a microcontroller. With 16Kb of EEPROM memory, this module allows you to write and update data such as URLs or IDs dynamically over I2C. It supports fast transfer mode, enabling quick data exchanges between RF and I2C interfaces, making it suitable for advanced wireless data projects. The breakout includes a PCB antenna, standard 2.54mm headers, and STEMMA QT/Qwiic connectors for quick, solder-free setup. Designed with durability in mind, the ST25DV16K ensures up to 1 million write cycles and 40-year retention, making it perfect for smart tags, IoT applications, and dynamic NFC projects.
