    The BU-03 Ultra-Wide-Band (UWB) Positioning Development Kit from AI Thinker brings professional-grade indoor positioning and distance measurement technology to makers, researchers, and engineers. Utilizing advanced UWB ranging technology, the BU-03 module delivers high-precision distance and position data between nodes — ideal for robotics, IoT localization, and autonomous navigation applications.

    With onboard DW3220 UWB transceiver and STM32F103 microcontroller, the BU-03 enables serial AT command-based communication for easy integration with Arduino, STM32, ESP32, or other microcontrollers supporting UART interfaces. It can measure distances up to 25 meters line-of-sight with typical accuracy around 10 cm, offering reliable and real-time spatial positioning even in indoor environments.

    By deploying multiple modules, users can build a complete UWB positioning system:

    • 2 modules → Point-to-point distance measurement

    • 3 modules → 2D positioning

    • 4+ modules → 3D positioning and tracking

    Originally an industrial-level technology, the BU-03 now makes precise local positioning accessible for makers, education, and R&D projects.
