Description

The 6DOF Accelerometer Gyroscope GY-521 MPU-6050 is a compact and powerful motion tracking module that combines a 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope into a single chip. Built around the MPU-6050 sensor, this module features a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter, delivering precise and stable motion data output through the I2C communication protocol.

Operating between 3V and 5V, the GY-521 module easily interfaces with popular development boards such as Arduino, STM32, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. It supports selectable gyroscope ranges (±250, ±500, ±1000, ±2000 °/s) and accelerometer ranges (±2g, ±4g, ±8g, ±16g). Therefore, it is suitable for both low-speed tilt detection and high-speed motion measurement.

The built-in Digital Motion Processor (DMP™) offloads complex motion fusion calculations from the main microcontroller. As a result, you can obtain processed outputs like quaternion, Euler angles, or raw sensor data without heavy computation on your MCU. Additionally, the onboard temperature sensor improves calibration accuracy and system stability.
