The ADXL343 is a high-performance 3-axis digital MEMS accelerometer designed for precise motion, orientation, and vibration sensing. It is a near drop-in replacement for the widely used ADXL345, offering very similar electrical characteristics and register behavior, so existing ADXL345 code typically works without modification.

This sensor measures acceleration on the X, Y, and Z axes and supports both I2C and SPI communication, making it compatible with a wide range of microcontrollers and single-board computers. Multiple selectable measurement ranges allow you to optimize resolution for slow movements or handle high-speed motion accurately.
The ADXL343 includes built-in motion intelligence, such as tap, double-tap, activity, inactivity, and free-fall detection. Two interrupt pins are available, and any interrupt source can be mapped independently to either pin, simplifying hardware and firmware design.
The module includes onboard 3.3V regulation and logic-level shifting, allowing safe operation with both 3.3V and 5V systems. Plug-and-play STEMMA QT / Qwiic I2C connectors enable solder-free connections and easy daisy-chaining with other I2C devices.
