The BMP180 Barometric Pressure Sensor Breakout is based on the Bosch BMP180, a high-precision, low-power digital pressure sensor widely used for altitude measurement, weather monitoring, and environmental sensing. It measures barometric pressure in the 300–1100 hPa range and can achieve accuracy as fine as 0.02 hPa in ultra-high-resolution mode.
Description
The BMP180 Barometric Pressure Sensor Breakout is based on the Bosch BMP180, a high-precision, low-power digital pressure sensor widely used for altitude measurement, weather monitoring, and environmental sensing. It measures barometric pressure in the 300–1100 hPa range and can achieve accuracy as fine as 0.02 hPa in ultra-high-resolution mode.
Built on piezo-resistive sensing technology, the BMP180 offers excellent accuracy, ruggedness, and long-term stability. Each sensor is factory-calibrated, with calibration coefficients stored internally in ROM, so no manual calibration is required.
The BMP180 is largely pin- and software-compatible with the older BMP085, making it an easy drop-in replacement for legacy designs.
This breakout board is breadboard-friendly, exposing all required pins on a standard 0.1″ (2.54 mm) header. It communicates via the I²C interface, making it simple to connect to Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers.
