    Description

    The TPIC6B595 High Power 8-Bit Shift Register is a robust serial-in, parallel-out driver IC designed for controlling higher-current loads directly from microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, STM32, and other embedded platforms. Unlike the standard 74HC595, this device integrates DMOS open-drain power outputs capable of handling up to 50V loads and approximately 150mA continuous current per channel. Because it includes built-in output clamp protection, it safely drives inductive loads such as relays and solenoids without requiring external protection diodes. Moreover, multiple TPIC6B595 ICs can be cascaded together, allowing easy expansion of digital outputs using SPI-style serial control.
